Currency Converter - Latest Available Reference Rates

How the Currency Conversion Works

RatioCalc no longer uses a fixed exchange-rate table. The converter requests the latest available USD-based reference rates through a server endpoint, then derives the selected cross-rate from those values.

Reference rates are useful for planning and comparison, but the rate on a bank card, cash exchange, international transfer or broker transaction can differ because of spreads, fees, timing and provider-specific pricing. If the reference-rate source is unavailable, the calculator reports that instead of silently substituting an old rate.

A reference exchange rate is useful for comparison, but the amount that reaches a card, bank account or cash exchange can be different. Banks and payment providers may add a spread, a fixed fee or both, and the transaction may settle at a later rate. Use the converter to understand the market-reference relationship between the currencies, then check the provider's quoted amount if you are making an actual payment or transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these live transaction rates?

No. They are the latest available reference rates from the configured public rate source. Actual transaction rates can include spreads, fees and different timing.

What happens if the rate source is unavailable?

The converter shows that current rates are unavailable. It does not fall back to a hard-coded exchange-rate table.

Why is my bank's conversion different from the reference rate?

Banks, card networks and money-transfer services can apply spreads, fees and different settlement times. The converter shows a reference conversion, not a guaranteed transaction quote.
