1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how RatioCalc uses cookies, localStorage, scripts, and similar browser technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. Google Privacy & messaging is the certified CMP used for European advertising and Google Analytics consent choices. Browser-only dashboard storage remains under your control.
2. First-Party Storage
RatioCalc currently uses the following first-party browser storage:

The history and goals stores remain on your device and are not transmitted merely because you open the dashboard. Imported data is written to those same local stores.
3. Optional Analytics
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to measure visits and interactions. RatioCalc uses advanced Consent Mode. Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default before the CMP reports a choice. Where consent is required, storage is not granted unless the CMP reports an eligible consent state. While storage remains denied, Google tags may send limited cookieless measurement signals for aggregate measurement and modelling; these denied-state signals do not use Analytics cookies. If consent is later granted, Analytics may use permitted storage according to Google settings. Exact names and durations can change with provider configuration and browser behavior.

4. Optional Advertising
On approved monetized pages, RatioCalc loads the Google AdSense publisher tag so the published Google CMP can run and eligible ads can be delivered. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure ads according to the applicable TCF and Consent Mode signals, location, and Google settings. Names and retention periods vary by Google product, partner, browser, and location. Trust, methodology, validation, editorial, privacy, terms, and cookie pages are configured as non-monetized and do not load the publisher tag.
5. Vercel Hosting and Privacy-Focused Measurement
Vercel provides site hosting, delivery, Web Analytics, and Speed Insights. These services operate independently of Google Analytics and AdSense.
According to Vercel, Web Analytics uses aggregated data without third-party cookies and discards its visitor-session identifier after 24 hours. Speed Insights records anonymous performance data points without tying them to an individual visitor or IP address. Both may process route, device, browser, country, and performance information as described by Vercel.
6. Managing or Withdrawing Your Choice
Google's European regulations message offers Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options. Use Privacy Choices in the footer to reopen the message and change a previous choice where it applies. Withdrawing consent changes subsequent Google processing and tag behavior; you may also clear site data or provider cookies in your browser. RatioCalc does not display a second custom advertising banner alongside Google's CMP.
7. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, RatioCalc keeps Google Analytics storage denied and does not upgrade Analytics consent while that signal remains active. Google tags may still send limited cookieless measurement signals under denied Consent Mode. The AdSense publisher tag may still load on monetized pages because it also delivers Google's consent interface; this keeps privacy choices available instead of suppressing the CMP itself.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when providers, storage names, durations, or consent behavior change. A material change to an optional purpose triggers a new consent request where required. Questions can be sent to privacy@ratiocalc.net.
